Life As We Know It

I see different kinds of issue in this movie. For example, the main character in this movie doesn’t want to get married. They want to persue their own career although their friends persuade them to get married as soon as possible. Nowadays, many people in Taiwan don’t want to get married so early, but focus on their career. The concept of marriage is changing as the society gets more and more advanced. Everyone has his or her own thinking about life; we don’t have the right to judge others or make decision for others. If it is what she or he wants, then we should support them.

  Another thing that caught my attention is the homosexual parents. Homosexual is not easy to be accepted in the society; however, in the movie, a homosexual couple adopt a child. This is very controversial and it may cause some negative effects on the child. In my opinion, homosexual couple may consider a lot about the adoption; they are willing to give more love to their child. Therefore, we should not judge them and deny their behavior. They are equal to us and they of course have the right to have kids as others.

Peaceful Warrior

I learned a lot from this movie. It teaches us to treasure this moment and to concentrate on what we are doing now. Moreover, we have to remain calm and keep our heart clean, pure, and tranquil. Therefore, we can throw away the bad thinking to let our heart be purified. Also, it’s important to know ourselves better. Only do we realize what we are and what we really want can we head on to our goal and focus on the things that we’re going to do.

  In the movie, the character is a perfect athlete and has great skills on gymnastics. However, before an upcoming contest, he had a car accident and broke his legs. He can’t do any sport anymore. He became despaired and even abandoned himself. Nonetheless, the old man who worked in the gas station told him to pluck up courage, and to believe in himself. Only does he keep going and never give up can he recover to the former state. Consequently, he abandoned his past life and focus on the present, keeping trying his best. In the end, he succeeded. He performed well on the big competition and won everyone’s applaue.

balck swan

I saw the movie, Black Swan, few days ago. I want to give some reflection about the movie. The swan queen has both positive and negative personalities; therefore, it’s not easy to express these two extremely feelings for the main character. Her personality makes it hard for her to act as the black swan. She can’t interpret the feelings and thinking of the black swan. However, she wants to do the best. As a result, in order to perform the character well, she carries herself to extreme and then has illusions. The illusion reflects the dark side in her heart.

  Everyone has both bright and dark sides in their heart. However, what we can see from others is always the bright side. We always hide the dark side and try not to be revealed by others. In this movie, the girl reveals her dark side in public in order to fulfill her dream. In the end, she succeeded. Although she became totally different from before, she made a breakthrough and was perfect in other’s eye.

Activities of the Leader Club

      This Thursday, the leader club which I joined in is going to have hot-pot together. We will cook, eat together, and chat with each other, sharing our moods. We will also have some performance so that it will be more interesting than merely eat food. This activity aims to make our members relaxed. After the mid-term exam, everyone must be very tired and have to take a break. Therefore, we hope that the club members can be relaxed and enjoy the comfortable time in Thursday night. Next week, we invite the manager of a famous coffee shop, 85。C, to have a speech for us. Not only the students in nchu but students from other colleges can participate in the activity. I’m looking forward to the speech; as a stuff of the activity next week, I hope I can make the speech successful.

summer time

The weather is getting hotter and hotter and the sun is so strong that I feel I’m burning standing under the sky. Among the four seasons, the season that I don’t like the most is summer. It makes me sweat all over and feel dizzy. In summer, I would become lazy and just want to stay at home all day long because of the heat. Some people like to go to the beach and have fun. However, for me, it’s awful. I can’t stand that my whole body is exposed under the sun. I will definitely be dried out of water and be more and more black. In one word, staying indoor is the best policy for me.

No one can exist forever

I heard a bad news from my father last Wednesday that my grandpa died at Tuesday night. I was so sad and I burst into tears upon hearing the news. Coming back to my house, I became busy, helping my family to do many things. There are monks coming to our house to recite sutra for my grandpa and I have to do so with them. I also have to go to temples to attend the ceremony. I have a lot of things to do during the whole spring break; not only do I have to study but also help my family. My grandpa always told me many things that are useful to me. But because I was immature and just wanted to play, I thought he was annoying and I didn’t listen to him carefully. I am regretful now. If I had one more chance to get along or talk with my grandpa, I would definitely treasure the time and be more nice to him.

Pray For Japan

It is a heart-breaking news that Japan was stricken by an serious earthquake and a devastating tsunami on March 11^th. The buildings were destroyed and the residents lost their home so they went to the havens. The strong tsunami also triggered the fire to the reactors; as a result, harmful radiations came out, doing harm to human body and polluting the food. Japan is now in a chaos. I’m so sad that my favorite country suffered from such a great difficulty. Every time when I see the news about Japan, I almost burst into tears. I hope Japan can ride out this obstacle and I firmly believe that they can! I’ll pray for them all the time in my mind.
